For a long time I didn't draw women's faces. I always thought they were just too difficult. But really, I just feared people's bitching. Everyone has something to complain about when it comes to drawing and painting women's faces. If you make too many of them perfectly structured, you are accused of recycling or perpetuating the very narrow concept of beauty that our society deems as "sexy/hot". It doesn't even have to be realistic for people to be upset that all the young women look the same, the cartoon concept artist Glen Keane (created every Disney girl from Arial to Elsa) was accused of this.
